Here is a photo of a few of my customs. Nothing too fancy photo
wise.
From left to right:
- M-203 GRENADIER.
Rip-stop BDUs, boonie, grenadier vest from
modern USMC recon, jungle boots, pistol belt with bayonet, ammo
pouches and canteens
and of course M-203. (looks like I have to re-glue a few of the
pouches on the vest)
- US MARINE-Saigon, Tet Offensive, 1968.
Fresh out of his bed
this Marine
races to protect the embassy dressed in a green t-shirt, flak vest,
leaf
pattern helmet, jungle boots, M-16 and boxers (shorts from the PT
fig.)
-
TANKER-US Army.
OG107 Pants, jungle boots, black gloves,
goggles, M1911A1 and holster, flak vest, tanker helmet.
GEAR LIST
- SHOULDER HOLSTER-thread the black elastic from the
binoculars through the
holster and tie it in a knot. Remove the snap from the holster and
tuck
the flap into the holster covering the elastic.
-
FLAK VEST-To convert the Marine M1955 flack vest to an Army
M69 remove
the rope ridge (plastic piece on the right shoulder) and the webbing
on the bottom edge. Remove the pocket from the flak vest.
Remove the pockets from the OG107 shirt (after a dye job the
shirt can be used to make a VC uniform) glue or sew the two
pockets onto the flak vest.
- CVC (combat vehicle crewman) HELMET-This helmet started life
as a football helmet I got in Toys R Us. The face guard was
removed and the holes filled. Texture the helmet with liquid glue,
paint the inside and the edge black. Add a wire microphone.
