I used the pants and shirt from the Vietnam Series Special Advisor and removed the emblems from the shirt and shortened the sleeves. Using a duck pattern camo helmet from Cotswold and accessories like belt, canteens, first-aid pouch, ammo bag & Thompson SMG from the WWII 101st Airborne uniform set. I also used Villain boots, a nickel plated 45 pistol from one of the first WWII U.S. weapon sets and a holster from one of the earlier Vietnam sets to put together this figure. |
Dressed in the carded figure uniform, boots & helmet. I added the camo smock from the German Paratrooper. I used Cotswold's grenades and MP-40. I have the standard harness, MP-40 ammo pouches, canteen & gas mask canister. I did use a different strap for the gas mask canister so I could sling it over his shoulder. I saw film footage from a Army Ranger film on the History Channel that had these Germans dressed like this in a battery they had created in an apple orchard behind the main guns on the Atlantic Wall. |
Even though the uniform is nothing very special, check out the belted ammo feeding from the ammo pack to the M-60. |
Again, you never fail to inspire me Seabee! Anybody would be proud to have these soldiers in their platoon. I love all the little nifty details. And that first shot of the Marine Squad is just too cool! I can't get enough of it! Special thanks for sending these in and sharing them with us. Another job well done CK2, keep it up! -- GL |
