WEAPONS TRAINING
By: SWAT 1

Sam Masters, Operation JAVELIN liaison Officer helps train SWAT 1 entry team. Today he is working on Firearm techniques.

Sam Masters assembles the SWAT 1 team together for a lesson.

"Here is our latest weapon the F88s STEYR Assault Rifle."

"This is the same rifle the Australian Army used recently in its East Timor operation"

"This is the F88s. The difference between this and the standard F88 is that the F88s will accept different sights".

"The rifles operation is a gas operated, short stroke piston with magazine feed. Each mag holds 30 rounds and fires at a rate of 680-850 rounds/minute"

"I will now demonstrate the accuracy on small targets"

Masters fires off a few shots.

"Pretty good shooting hey? One dead Cola can."

Information on the STEYR rifle provided by Australian Army webpage http://www.army.gov.au/. Check it out. Sam Masters is SWAT 1 liaison Officer for Operation Javelin U.K.
