German Kriegsmariner - This was done for a guy in Chicago. I used sculpy for the beard and mustache over a baby-faced SSAM. The cigarette is made from a toothpick with a light coat of white paint and some red marker on the end. While the marker was still wet, I rubbed real ashes from my ashtray over it to give the "real-deal" look to it. The pants and coat are both made from lightweight brown fake leather. |
82nd Airborne - These pics are from the first stages of a custom figure that I did for the guy mentioned above. The body, head and boots are TUS. The parachute pack is the WW2 T5 main and T5A reserve. If I'd had a parachute at the time I did this figure, I could have made the main chute completely functional. As it is, the reserve chute in the picture is functional. |
Israeli Golani - This is the only custom figure I have ever been able to complete that was strictly for me and it was done two years ago. The boots are GIJoe Classic Collection Elba Jump Boots. The full-stocked Uzi is a custom item I obtained from someone who shall remain nameless (for personal reasons). The webgear is custom made with 47 gold adjustment rings that allow it to fit a variety of body sizes and shapes including the female ones. |
Gunfighter - This is a figure that I made for my uncle last spring, who is really into the Old West shows. He says it looks a lot like Festis from Gunsmoke in the early episodes where he had no beard. I can't vouch for that, I am not old enough. The boots are Cots. The rifle is from the Captain Action Lone Ranger set, as is the hat. On the hat, I added a brown ostrich leather band. The vest, gunbelt and holster are all made from brown cowhide. The Peacemaker is a custom item, as well as the rest of the outfit. I think the TUS Swat Commander just makes one heck of an old west sheriff. This is one of the heads IMHO that has so many options to choose from. |
Rommel - This is the same figure that I currently sell on my website. The head is resin cast from an original sculpt done by my sculptor. The body is a baby-face SSAM. The Knight's Cross and the Pour Le Merit' are custom made, as well as the complete uniform except for the boots, goggles and binoculars, which are from Cotswolds. |
Definitely some awesome custom work there trooper! I have to say I probably like that Rommel figure the best! Great stuff! The Kriegsmariner as well as all of the others are pretty cool too! Keep up the great work buddy! Terrific looking bunch of guys all around. Special thanks for sending these in and sharing them with us. -- GL |
