Deja and Svetlana went out of town to go and scout around for any sign of the SS, while Anna, Sarah, and I
went to retrieve my stuff from the wreckage of my plane. Unfortunately, Deja got caught by an SS soldier out picking
berries for breakfast.
*editor's note: the soldier that captured Deja, is the same one that captured Maria. If you all remember, the Kubel full of SS stopped, assaulted, then shot Maria in the head, while Svetlana watched all of it through the scope of her rifle, without firing a shot. This was the beginning of the real Marwencol story, because it was the most controversial group of photos that I've ever shot. I filmed this in the exact month, and the exact time of day, as I did five years ago. It snowed the next day, just like it did five years ago to the day, except, three Russian women didn't have to go out and find their friend's dead body and bring it back home with them... Fortunately, Svetlana nailed that SS bastardo, and Deja and her ran away, before the Kubel full of SS drove by. * When Deja brought me back in time, so we would fall in love again, she also changed history, that's already been documented.
