1) figure: Dragon "Ray"
2) uniform: TUS NVA Regular uniform, bleached Khaki, all snaps removed, and Cotswold brown buttons added. All stress points tacked down at areas where buttons would be closed, etc. 3) Pith helmet: TUS NVA Regular, scooped out to accomodate larger headsculpt. Painted dark green inside as per many originals, painted a more appropriate green color on outside. 4) Sandals: TUS VC Sandals, all straps cut off, holes drilled, and replacement straps put in proper "system" as the TUS ones are wrong in the back! The belt is scratch made. I used a TUS web belt--took off all hardware. Made brass buckle from brass stock from hobby store, and brass loops for buckle from brass rods from same source. Steel/chromed keepers are floral wire. I eventually want to add beltloops to the pants, and a corfram trouser belt. I also want to add an NVA squared neck with button shoulder undershirt at some point and and appropriate weapon and field gear. More to come! |
