| Ok troops, today we're going to take a look at the new RC 1/6th scale Humvee from the Ultimate Soldier. So let's move out! |
| Well here it is, in all its glory, 31 inches long from bumper to bumper, 4 wheel drive, left and right steering, forward and reverse. The TOW missile launcher even launches a 7.5 inch missile. |
| First of all, let me dispell any myths about this vehicle that I've heard floating around. No figures will fit inside of this vehicle anywhere, even in the roof turret. Boy, that sure is a major bummer :( As you can see here, even the windows are molded closed. |
| But it is pretty close to true 1/6th scale and a heck of a lot cooler looking than 21st Century's previous attempt at a Humvee. |
| The wheels on this thing are pretty cool, but after looking at wheels on real Humvees, they are a little lacking in detail, in my opinion. The tires are the standard hollow rubber you find on most RC vehicles nowadays. |
| Underneath the hatch hood is where you can find the on & off switch to the Humvee's sound box, and the speaker of course. When switched on, you get some sort of realistic sounds of the engine. |
| Under the TOW launch box is where the on & off power switch is located. You simply pinch the box on either side and it pops right off. Also you can see the screw nut that you can unscrew to lift up the whole sound unit, so you can get inside the Humvee, which is where the battery is located. |
