Here's a shot that you can see of the missile (dart) inserted into the TOW. Push a button on your remote, and it fires, and the sound box lets off the sound of the missile firing. |
Here's a down shot of the front hood. The detail isn't too bad, you can see right through the screen. It's not a solid molded piece like on the old Humvees, so definitely no hand cutting and hand drilling of the screen to make it realistic on this Humvee. |
Now let's take a look at the RC controller. It's your standard pistol grip RC controller, which I'm not a big fan of. It takes eight AA batteries to power. You pull the trigger back to go forward, push the trigger forward to go back, turn the big wheel in the center to go left and right. You have a small button to the right that fires your TOW missilie and to the left you have adjustment knobs for the steering and acceleration. |
These are fine tuning knobs. Once you fine tune your Humvee, you probably won't need to touch these again. |
Well, I guess that wraps up this little review troops. I hope you enjoyed checking out the new RC Humvee from 21st Century Toys. |
I know that the local Walmarts were charging $199 for these, which is a little pricy compared to some other 1/6th scale RC vehicles. If you can find one for $100 though, it's an absolute must buy if you're a Modern 1/6th scale collector. It's a really cool vehicle and a kick to play with. |
Ok, ok, I know I forgot to take some photos of the underside of this thing so you could see the independent suspension, but I can't remember everything now, can I? :) Hopefully this review will get you a decent overall picture though if you're thinking about buying one of these for your own collection.
Special thanks to all the troops who got this cool vehicle for me! - GL |
