Russian Alpha Team

Here is my recent project of a Russian Spec Ops soldier. Oleg is a
member of the Russian Spetsnaz Alpha Team. Alpha Team is from the former KGB now
FSB, and are the most trained and specially equipped counter-terrorist unit in
the Russian Special Forces. During the start of the Russian occupation in
Afghanistan in the early eighties, Alpha Group infiltrated and assasinated the
Afghan leader and paved the way for the larger airborne forces.
I started with a Dragon body mounting a SOTW head sculpt. I made the DPM urban pattern in photoshop and made all his uniforms and vest. His vest has individual opening pouches and belt. It holds 1 AK magazine, 2 Kedr 9mm SMG magazines, 2 grenades, radio, first aid and other items. Under his cloth load bearing vest, he has on a ballistic vest I made using olive drab fabric. He has a red reppelling harness and a nylon thigh holster with a Makarov pistol. I made his Kolpak II helmet using polymer putty and covered it with the same cloth camo and added the moveable visor. He wears a Dragon 3 hole balacklava, TUS Spetsnaz boots, and is armed with the TUS AKSU SMG and AK 105 5.45 mm rifle. |
