ON PATROL (PART 1)

This is the story of a squad from 25th Infantry Division on a four day patrol somewhere near the Cambodian border.

Walking point, PFC Adams blazes a trail for the rest of the squad.

Adams suddenly signals for the squad to stop - something looks suspicious ahead on the trail.

Adams slowly advances under the cover of the platoon sergeant (left) and PFC Davis.

Adams and the platoon sergeant uncover what appears to be a simple punji trap. Meanwhile, Davis turns hearing something in the trees.

A sniper's view of the situation?!?

The sergeant and Adams rest a bit and decide how to handle the situation.

The always vigilant Davis spots the source of the noise....
