| The troops take time to relax in the cool of the morning hours. The Japanese Navy shells the island all day and drops bombs on them all night. The bunker has proven itself to be a good safe haven. Frost fills an extra canteen while Steinbeck radios in to the HQ. Sandberg and Reed take a load off while Sgt. Meekes resumes the watch with his B.A.R. They know they can't leave the supplies out in the open. Sgt. Meekes suggests a work detail to store everything inside the bunker. |
| Just acting a fool, Reed trys to bolt away from the work detail and startles Pvt. Sandberg. Get to work guys ! It's another day in paradise. |
