CROSSHAIR
By: Minuteman

Here are pictures of my Minuteman - Crisis Response Force scout/sniper and includes a comic rendering of the character. Crosshair is made using a 21st Century carded airforce figure. He wears a ghillie/poncho suit which I fashioned using dyed cloth with netting and tied a lot of pieces to it. His primary weapon is a Hasbro Haskins .50 cal. rifle, painted, covered with netting, and muzzle drilled. I used 15 min. plumbers putty to mold the A.N.T. Lacon Ceramic helmet directly on the figure's head. But before that, I used a clear plastic for the eye lenses and painted it w/ red marker so his eyeballs can be seen. The side has a retractable Virtual Reality visor (made w/ same putty), painted target, leather wire connects behind the ear amplifiers, and an attachment for a gas mask filter which is located on his left cheek (made with superglue pin cap) so as not to hinder a good rifle cheekweld. I used leather strings for the communication wires that goes from the helmet to the push-to-talk com-link(made from the tip of superglue case) with an hour glass logo and into a Bill Smith radio on a vinyl case.

For the uniform that covers the body, I used a black woman's stockings (technique borrowed from Jimbob Wan) and attached the Lacon ceramic body armor (proof against medium cal. rifles) made with putty. Same goes for the molded groin armor attached to his belt and has a rappelling ring imbeded. He wears 21st TUS swat elbow & knee pads, German para boots, e-tool (courtesy of Checkmate King 2), and od gloves. Since Crosshair was an ex-gurkha, he carries the traditional Kukri blade & scabbard from Cotswold, and re-painted. His blue Magna 4 plastique explosives (made w/ arrowhead bottle cover) are attached to his wrists and legs via velcro. Vest is made with od vinyl and has detachable 2 ammo pouches, back pouch, open holster with button snap for the Ingram 9mm (from CK2) and has a 15 rnd. cutdown mag and stainless steel mag clamp), and an emergency extraction hook at the back. He also has velcroed grenade pouches and holders on both his legs. On his belt hangs a flap holster that carries a Michael Chan Browning HP 9 mili (courtesy of LT).

For accessories, Crosshair has a command detonated M18A1 mine (LT) with testing circuit, detachable shipping plug priming adaptor, miniature G20 firing device, firing wire on a spool, and 2 wooden stakes to secure wires to the ground. The Camelback Classic water pack is made of nylon superglued together. The drinking tube has a velcro to clip to his vest. To simulate water inside, I used, a condom, filled it w/ water, folded and glued. So far there are no leaks. His flashbang is from Lonewolf - couln't do a better job. And finally a detachable gas mask filter.

Special thanks to Checkmate King 2, LT, Lonewolf for the items and thanks to Jimbob Wan for the inspiration.
