I just got in the mail an excellent SPR T/4 Medic Wade head & Medic's Bags
complete with Medic's yoke & cantle straps from Canadian Frances Tavares
of Battlefield. I have been collecting US WW 2 Medic items for 20+ years. I
have to say he is right on the money for the Yoke & bags. He forgot the
lace up grommets that go on the piece of extra cloth in the middle of the
bags. This was used to make the bags large or laced up small depending on
the length of the mission. Otherwise this is a pretty good 1/6 replica.
The head is a pretty good likeness of Medic Wade. It came painted. Both
the head & medic's rig were $30 each. A little expensive, but how many
guys out there have a set. Once we old Medics get something in our sights, we
just gotta have it.
The Wade's helmet is a Cot's that I applied thinned out Pactra weathering paint. I also took a photo of Tom Hanks with Wade, too. The T. Hanks figure is the Masterpiece Collector outfit w/ TUS 29th ID vest , Cot's .45 holster & I painted on Capt. bars & weathered the helmet with Pactra paint. His head is one of the ones that have been offered from Singapore. Also attached to this photo shoot is Tom Hanks with Vic Morrow. |
Very very cool there Bac Si. The uniform is awesome! I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't want to own that medic for sure. Special thanks for sending all these cool soldiers in and sharing them with us. I can't wait to see your photos from Normandy. Keep up the great work! -- GL |
